"How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight?" Let's ask author Mark Teague

Ever since the first day of school we have been working on learning how to read. We have been looking at patterns in books to help us guess what will be next and one type of pattern is a rhyming pattern. Rhyming helps us with our phonics and therefore it is a great way to learn how to read and write. Today I introduced the students to a favorite book of mine called, "How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight?" This book is wonderfully written and illustrated. I have found that my students always tend to like this book and the other books in the series. There is also "How Do Dinosaurs Go To School?", "How Do Dinosaurs Eat Their Food?", "How Do Dinosaurs Get Well Soon?' and many more. These books are written by Mark Teague. I found this interview with Mark Teague about his writing and I wanted to share it with all of you. I find him to be very inspiring and I think the kids will as well. Writing is such an important part of our lives and I want my students to appreciate it and enjoy it as much as I do and as much as authors like Mark Teague do.

Enjoy!! :]
